New tourism website for Visit Coolamon Shire

Visit Coolamon Shire has revealed a new website - visitcoolamonshire.com.au, the Shire’s tourism website providing travellers and residents with access to information. The website has been improved to provide a strong digital presence to promote the many tourism attractions and experiences.

The website showcases things for visitors to do and see in the Shire’s towns of Coolamon, Ardlethan, Ganmain and villages of Marrar, Matong and Beckom.

The new website features information on what to do, where to stay, events, itineraries and news articles; the redeveloped website is visually-engaging, destination-focused, can be viewed on different devices and delivers a more personalised visitor experience.

“We developed the new site to promote the Shire as well as showing the varied range of events and attractions. Increasing tourism and visitation numbers is important to Coolamon Shire and we have invested in the new website to help promote our attractions, accommodation and hospitality to encourage more visitors to come and enjoy all the great things on offer”. said Laura Higgins, Tourism and Business Development Officer.

The new website feeds Instagram images on the homepage, allowing visitors to contribute and share information using the hashtag #visitcoolamonshire, and bringing that story to life so that visitors can experience it for themselves.

“Digital technology is a key element in how visitors plan and book holidays/day trips with travellers sourcing and sharing information on the move” Laura said.

The Coolamon Shire Facebook and Instagram accounts also send out regular updates on events and ideas for things to do – so like and follow the pages to keep up-to-date with the latest information.

The site is, of course, not exclusively for visitors – residents can use it for ideas for day trips and to keep the children entertained over the holidays.
